摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the overcharging state of an electricity accumulating means due to partial charging from engine torque on an upslope, in a vehicle whose engine torque is divided into the driving force of a wheel and torque necessary for charging. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of navigation information, whether an upslope is present ahead of a traveling route is decided (S202) or whether the upslope becomes congested is decided (S204). When the upslope becomes congested, a battery ECU 52 estimates the remaining capacity SOC<SB>real</SB>of a battery 50 (S206). An HVECU 70 estimates engine torque necessary for upslope traveling based on a gradient &theta; of the upslope obtained from the navigation information, and calculates the first estimated charging amounts to be charged by the battery 50, and calculates upslope time upper limit charging amounts SOC<SB>maxl</SB>by subtracting the second estimated charging amounts from the SOC upper limit charging amounts under the consideration of the division ratio of the estimated engine torque and the torque, and when SOC<SB>real</SB>>SOC<SB>maxl</SB>, SOC<SB>real</SB>is controlled to be decreased (S210). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
