<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a retrieval result so that a user can obtain a learning effect by setting a multi-language dictionary as a target of jump retrieval. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic dictionary 1 includes: a normal dictionary DB 84 for storing a plurality of entry word information in each of which an entry word and the meaning of a different language are made to correspond to each other; a multi-language dictionary DB 85 for storing a plurality of word string information data in each of which word strings of different languages are made to correspond to each other; and a display part 40 for displaying desired entry word information in the normal dictionary DB 84. When an optional word in a word meaning is specified as a jump target word, the display part 40 retrieves word strings each of which is composed of a language of the jump target word and includes the jump target word from the multi-language dictionary DB 85 and displays the retrieved word strings as a list, and when one word string out of the word strings displayed as the list is specified, reads out the corresponding specified word string information from the multi-language dictionary DB 85, and displays the word string composed of the language of the displayed entry word as an entry word and the specified word string as one of word meanings distinguishably from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
