<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant fabric not only capable of efficiently removing every kind of smells of a basic gas, an acidic gas, a neutral gas, and a sulfur-based gas, for example, in air in a room, but also capable of sufficiently removing the smell of acetaldehyde of a main cause of tobacco smell over a long period, and to provide a method for producing the fabric. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The deodorant fabric is constituted by attaching a deodorant composition containing a porous inorganic material, a metal oxide, an inorganic silicon compound carrying a polyamine compound, and a hydrazine derivative having a molecular weight not more than 150, at least on a part of the fabric.
