PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of processing a waste electrolyte discharged in a manufacturing process of an alkaline secondary battery. SOLUTION: The method of processing the waste electrolyte of an alkaline secondary battery is used to adjust pH of the waste electrolyte including an electrolyte component discharged in the manufacturing process of the alkaline secondary battery such as a nickel-hydrogen battery at a condensation deposition treatment of drainage discharged in the manufacturing process of the alkaline secondary battery and including heavy metal such as nickel and cobalt used as an electrode. For example, disposal costs of the waste electrolyte and an amount of an alkaline agent used for processing of the drainage including heavy metal contents of the electrode can be reduced on the basis of the method of processing the waste electrolyte.
