摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus for spraying liquid, in which bubbles causing poor injection of a nozzle can be effectively removed. SOLUTION: The liquid jet apparatus includes a pressure chamber 13 for filling ink, a pressurizing means for pressurizing the ink in the pressure chamber 13, a piezoelectric element 17 for changing the volume in the pressure chamber 13, a nozzle 15 for discharging the ink, and a control unit 50 for generating drive pulses for controlling the piezoelectric element 17. The control unit 50 controls the pressurizing means to pressurize the ink in the pressure chamber 13 and generate maintenance drive pulses for discharging unnecessary air bubbles with the ink from the pressure chamber 13. The maintenance drive pulses comprise a first pulse portion for controlling the piezoelectric element 17 to expand the pressure chamber 13 to shift it to an expanding state, a second pulse portion for holding the expanding state for a predetermined time, and a third pulse portion for shrinking the pressure chamber 13 from the expanding state.
