<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic charge image development, which attains compatibility between excellent low temperature fixability and offset resistance and forms a favorable high-definition image. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic charge image development is obtained by dissolving or dispersing a composition containing at least a binder resin, a polymer having a moiety reactive with a compound having active hydrogen, a colorant and a release agent, in an organic solvent, then dispersing in an aqueous medium the solution or dispersion liquid obtained by the dissolution or dispersion, and removing the organic solvent after or while allowing the polymer to react with the compound having an active hydrogen group, cleaning and drying.
