PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method for a corrugated fin in which a high speed cutting operation can be realized, and by which the durability of a device can be improved and a cost can be reduced by reducing the weight of a mechanism and simplifying the mechanism and a control device, and a cutter for a corrugated fin. SOLUTION: In the cutting method for the corrugated fin, a fin material 1, which has been worked to a wave form, is continuously conveyed by conveying means 2, the number of crests and the position of a valley part 12 of the fin material 1 are regulated and the bottom part of the valley part 12 of the conveyed fin material 1 is cut by a cutting means 3. The cutting means 3 cuts the bottom part of the valley part 12 of the fin material 1 between a fixed blade 4 and a rotating blade 6 rotating in one direction relatively to the fixed blade 4, while the cutting means 3 comes into slide contact with both surfaces of the rotating blade 6 in the vicinity of the fixed blade 4 during cutting the fin material 1 and ensures the locus of movement of the rotating blade 6 relative to the fixed blade 4.
