PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition containing a poly(L-lactic acid) as a main part, and having extremely improved impact resistance, and to provide a method by which the resin composition can be produced easily. SOLUTION: The resin composition includes the poly(L-lactic acid), a natural rubber, a nucleating agent, a compatibilizer and a hydrolysis inhibitor, and has a dispersed phase with a≤3μm average particle diameter. The method for producing the resin composition having the dispersed phase with a≤3μm average particle diameter includes blending a dry blend comprising the natural rubber, the poly(L-lactic acid), the nucleating agent, the compatibilizer and the hydrolysis inhibitor by a twin-screw extruder.
