A bearing device for a driving wheel is provided with an outer ring (50) having double-row outer raceway surfaces (52, 54) formed on the inner periphery thereof, a hub ring (10) and an inner ring (20) which have a wheel mounting flange (14) at one end thereof and have double-row inner raceway surfaces (12, 22) formed on the outer periphery of the hub ring (10) and on the outer periphery of the inner ring (20), and double-row rolling bodies (30, 40) mounted between the outer raceway surfaces (52, 54) of the outer ring (50) and the inner raceway surfaces (12, 22) of the hub ring (10) and of the inner ring (20). A stem (66) extending from an outer joint member (62) of a constant velocity universal joint (60) is press fitted into a shaft hole in the hub ring (10) and fitted to the hub ring by splines. Molybdenum coating layers or fluorocarbon resin coating layers (81) are formed on opposed surfaces which are the surface of a shoulder (61) of the outer joint member (62) and the surface of a staking section (13) of the hub ring (10), and a plate (80) having a thickness from 0.5 mm to 2 mm is provided between the opposed surfaces.
