Microscope i.e. confocal laser scanning microscope, configuration determining method, involves creating new complete device configuration for microscope to be controlled, after flow of configuration data

The method involves extending search process of microscope control software. Alternatives possible for non- recognized information about configuration is listed in a dialogue window, and the microscope user is allowed to decide which alternatives are to used, when necessary information about configuration are not automatically determined by requesting the microscope. A part of the alternatives is excluded after decision of the user, or new alternatives are added. A new complete configuration for the microscope to be controlled is created after flow of the device configuration data.
