A freeze-dried composition comprising a polyanion, a polymer or copolymer of a substituted or unsubstituted thiophene and mono- or diesterified phosphoric acid surfactant; an aqueous or organic solvent solution or dispersion and an ink comprising the above composition; and a method for making an antistatic or electroconductive layer comprising the steps of:
- preparing an aqueous or an organic solvent solution or dispersion of the freeze-dried composition, and
- applying the dispersion or solution to an object.
