A mist generator (10) including a warm mist generation mechanism (40) and a movable protective device (21). The warm mist generation mechanism generates warm mist and includes a warm mist nozzle (18) for spraying the generated warm mist in a spraying direction. The movable protective device prevents a hand of a user from touching the warm mist nozzle. The protective device is movable between a first position, which allows the warm mist to be sprayed from the warm mist nozzle toward the user, and a second position, which covers at least an upper part of the warm mist nozzle.
