A cloche comprising a base and frame

A cloche for protecting one or more plants comprises a base with at least two opposing walls 12 for defining there between an area of a bed in which the plants are located, a cover for covering the plants and a frame 22 for supporting the cover. The frame 22 is releasably engaged to the base by a connector 28 so as to anchor the frame 22 to the base in such a way that the frame 22 (and cover) may be moved as a complete structure along the opposing walls 12 of the base to cover any portion of the bed. The walls 12 may have a groove 18 which runs the length of the walls in which the connector 30 is secured. The connector 30 may have a lug 32 which engages with the groove 18, the lug 32 may sit within the groove 18 and is able to run within the groove 18. The walls 12 may have a lip which runs along the length of the walls 12 for securing the connector. The cover maybe a plastic or meshed material. The cloche may have openings which may be secured by hook and loop tape or zips.
