PROCESS FOR PREPARING A LYOPHILISED MATERIAL

A process for preparing a lyophilised material (111), providing a container (10) having a penetrable envelope and containing the material in a carrier liquid (17), whereby the penetrable region (14) is penetrated with a penetrator (20) which provides a conduit through the envelope, and the carrier liquid is evaporated out of the container (10) via the conduit, after which the penetrator (20) is withdrawn. Apparatus suitable for performing the process is also disclosed.
