DISTANCE MEASURING SENSOR HAVING VERTICAL PHOTOGATE AND THREE DIMENSIONAL COLOR IMAGE SENSOR HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A distance measuring sensor having a vertical photo gate and a cubic color image sensor having the same are provided to extend a light receiving area by having the photo gate vertically formed at a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A distance measuring sensor comprises a photoelectric variation area, a first and a second charge storage area(441,442), a first and a second trench(411,412), and a first and a second vertical photo gate(421,422). The photoelectric variation area produces the photo-charge by receiving the light from a substrate(410) doped with a first impurity. The first and the second charge storage area are doped with a second impurity and has the photo-charge collecting at the substrate and separating each other. The first and the second trench are formed at the substrate corresponding to the first and the second charge storage area. The first and the second vertical photo gate are formed in the first and the second trench.
