PURPOSE: An index apparatus is provided to process holes at regular intervals on a material by mounting the material on a rotating plate. CONSTITUTION: An index apparatus comprises holes on a material(40) fixed on a chuck(38) installed on a base(10). A spindle having a groove is installed to rotate on the base. A stationary pipe(18) having a hole coaxial with the groove is installed outside the spindle. A shaft(23) is formed in the groove and hole and locks/releases the spindle while moving to the left and the right. A rotational plate(32) is installed on the upper end of the spindle. Marking parts(36a,36b,36c) are formed at regular intervals on the circumference of the rotational plate, in order to guide processing of holes on a material. Steps(34) are formed on the bottom of the rotational plate in order to allow the rotational plate to rotate by fixed angle. A case(26) is installed on one side of the stationary pipe. A stopper is installed inside the case and locked to or separates from the steps of the rotational plate. A spring(28) is inserted to the bottom of the stopper and elastically supports the stopper.
