Apparatuses and methods for attaching tissue to bone are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, an apparatus for attaching tissue to bone includes an expandable body that defines a bore and is configured to expand into bone, an expander pin that includes a shaft that is sized to be received in the bore of the expandable body and expand the expandable body laterally when the expander pin is driven into the expandable body, and a tissue attachment means that is associated with the shaft of the expander pin such that when the expander pin is driven into the expandable body, the expandable body is attached to bone and the tissue attachment means secures the tissue to the apparatus. In other embodiments, the tissue attachment means can be associated with either the expandable body or the expander pin generally. Various other configurations of an apparatus for attaching tissue to bone, as well as procedures for attaching tissue to bone, are also provided. |
