PURPOSE: A rotating water shut valve of conical wedge type is provided to prevent a disc from getting the overload by minimizing the contact resistance by removing the rolling friction between the disc and a valve body. CONSTITUTION: A rotating water shut valve of conical wedge type comprises a valve body(101), an axis of rotation(5), and a disc(2). An inlet port(1) and an outlet port(1a) are formed in both sides of the valve disc. A shaft supporting hole(3) and a shaft support groove(3a) are formed at the top and bottom of the valve body inside. The axis of rotation rotates while being inserted into the shaft supporting hole and the shaft supporting groove of the valve body. The disc is installed on the axis of rotation. The disc is positioned in a disc operating unit between the inlet port and the outlet port of the valve body inside.
