PURPOSE: A bumper stay for vehicle is provided to absorb an impact transferred through a bumper beam by double absorption and dispersion. CONSTITUTION: A bumper stay for vehicle connecting a side member(3) and a bumper beam(5) comprises a stay housing(11), a front stay plate(15), a rear stay plate(17), a member plate(19), a shock absorbing member(21), and an impact transmission member(23). The stay housing is formed in the shape of a square extruded pipe, and has notches(N) on both sides in the width direction. A mounting flange(13) is integrally provided on the rear end of the stay housing. The front stay plate has an insert barrel part(T1) fitted to the front side of the stay housing, and is connected to the bumper beam. The rear stay plate has a support barrel part(T2) fitted to the rear side of the stay housing, and is connected to the side member. The member plate has a mounting barrel part(T3) fitted to the front side of the side member, and is connected to the rear stay plate. The shock absorbing member is inserted inside the stay housing and supported in the support barrel part on one end. The impact transmission member is mounted on the center of the cross section of the insert barrel part inside the stay housing, and its leading end is fitted to the shock absorbing member.
