PURPOSE: A display device and a control method thereof capable of maintaining agreeable environment are provided to perform an illumination function in the dark environment by preventing waste of power. CONSTITUTION: A display device includes a power supply unit(8), a lighting mode switch(9), a human detecting sensor, an illumination sensor(7), and a lighting driving unit. The power supply unit prints out and converts the provided AC power supply to the DC power supply. The lighting mode switch selects a mode upon the human body. The human detection sensor generates the human sensing signal. The interface unit interfacing with the electronic device includes a computer, MP3, and the cellular phone. |
