PURPOSE: A honeycomb structure is provided to ensure excellent purification performance for CO, HC, and NOx and less pressure loss by the large amount of catalyst. CONSTITUTION: A honeycomb structure(1) comprises a honeycomb member(100) of column shape in which lots of cells(111) and walls(113) between the cells are arranged in the longitudinal direction. One end of the cell is closed. In the wall, catalyst is filled 100~400g per liter of the honeycomb structure volume. The honeycomb structure is formed by mercury intrusion method, wherein a pore distribution curve drawn taking log differentiation pore volume(μl/g) in the Y axis and pore diameter(μm) in the X axis has three peaks in the ranges of 0.5~0.03μm, 1~15μm, and 15~50μm.
