PURPOSE: An image forming system and a method for managing the same are provided to manage an image forming device by using another server even though a server managing the image forming device is abnormal. CONSTITUTION: An image forming system and a method for managing the same include an image forming device and servers. The servers include the first server managing the first image forming device. A method for managing the image forming system comprises the following steps. It is determined whether the first server normally operates(S10). If the first server has an error, management of the first image forming device is requested to the servers except the first server(S20). The second server manages the first image forming device among servers except the first server corresponding to the request(S35).
