A packet data transmission method in a wireless sensor network and a system thereof are provided to supply an MAC(Medium Access Control) protocol which controls scheduling of packet data and queue management in a wireless sensor network in which a plurality of sensor nodes transmits data to a multi hop, thereby minimizing energy consumption and increasing channel efficiency. Slot information including a transmission time period and a competition period for packet transmission are set up. A packet analysis unit(10) classifies a transmission object packet according to a preset priority. And the packet analysis unit stores the classified transmission object packet in a corresponding transmission queue(20,22,24). It is determined whether the transmission time interval of a current slot is allocated. When the transmission time interval of a current slot is not allocated, it is determined whether a priority packet exists in the transmission queue. When the priority packet exists in the transmission queue, it is determined whether packet transmission of the node to which the transmission time period is allocated is completed. |
