DIGITAL BROADCASTING RECEIVER AND STREAM PROCESSING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting receiver and a stream processing method thereof are provided to have compatibility with an existing system and improve receiving performance in a severe channel environment. CONSTITUTION: A stream processing method in a digital broadcasting receiver comprises the following steps. A transport stream including robust data is received and demodulated. The demodulated transport stream is equalized. Robust data in the equalized transport stream is turbo-decoded. Robust data robust-processed in a digital broadcasting receiver is multiplexed with normal data and to generate the transport stream. The turbo decoding is performed by using decoders which exchange mutual decoding reliability information.
