DIAGNOSTIC METHOD OF COMPLEX HETEROTROPY TYPES

FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and namely to ophthalmology and can be used during surgical treatment of heterotropy. Routine ophthalmological examination of patients with such kind of heterotropy is performed in order to find out hypo- or hyperfunction of straight or oblique ophthalmogyric eye muscles. Prior to the operation there found out are abnormalities of straight ophthalmogyric eye muscles attached to sclera by means of ultrasonic biomicroscopy. For topographic and anatomic determination of the attachment point of straight eye muscles the measurement is carried out at less than two attachment points of the muscle to sclera. The distance from the attachment point of the muscle to sclera up to the limb is measured. When various values of location of attachment points of each inner and outer straight muscle are obtained, abnormal location of muscles take place because when they are normal, they are located symmetrically. The first to be operated is muscle with abnormal attachment to sclera. ^ EFFECT: method allows improving efficiency of the operation carried out owing to correct selection of the muscle which needs to be operated first.
