Provided is a pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and at least two antisense oligonucleotide compounds the first antisense oligonucleotide directed against at least a portion of a nucleic acid sequence encoding, and being capable of inhibiting expression of, POE7A and the second antisense oligonucleotide, the second antisense oligonucleotide directed against at least a portion of a nucleic acid sequence encoding, and being capable of inhibiting expression of, a POE selected from the group consisting of POE3A and POE48 each oligonucleotide compound being present at a concentration that exhibits less than 20% inhibition of its target POE, the combination exhibiting more than 20% inhibition and at least doubling the inhibition of at least one target POE. Further provided are uses of the composition in the manufacture of a medicament to treat inflammatory respiratory diseases.
