Disclosed is a combination of an adamantyl P2X7 receptor antagonist of formula (XI), wherein the substituents are as defined in the specification, and a selective inhibitor of COX-2 such as celecoxib, rofecoxib or valdecoxib. The combination is useful for the treatment of inflammatory disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
