A ground surface indicator for providing a tactile indication to a person, particularly a blind or visually impaired person, walking on the surface is disclosed. The indicator has a portion positioned over the surface with a surrounding sloped side wall (59) that extends upwardly and radially inwardly, and an upper portion.
