A method for producing an adsorbent from vegetable raw material includes preliminary crushing vegetable raw material with specific humidity into macroparticles of required sizes, grinding the raw material up to formation of an uniform mixture, drying, crushing the uniform mixture of the vegetable raw material in a drying chamber by grinding with simultaneous introduction into the drying chamber of a swirl coolant flow. Prior to preliminary crushing the vegetable raw material is dried under the natural conditions. The vegetable raw material is prepared from cereal straw.
