A method for automatic control of the process of pasteurizing tomato juice includes measuring and regulating the temperature of pasteurizing the tomato juice in the pasteurizing section, measuring and regulating the temperature of cooling the tomato juice in the cooling section. The effect of the pasteurizing temperature in the pasteurizing section is compensated by the temperature of the juice in the cooling section and the effect of changing in the steam temperature is compensated by the pasteurizing temperature.
