Disclosed is the use of compound of formula I, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein R1 is H, R2 is optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, or alkynyl, and R3, R4, R5, and R6 are each H, F, or (C1-C4)-alkyl, for treating metabolic syndrome, or for treating a disease or disorder which results in increased levels of plasma lipid, plasma free fatty acids, plasma glycerol, or plasma triglyceride, or for treating type 2 diabetes or diabetic dyslipidemia.
