<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that prevents light leakage and improves display quality. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is configured such that a liquid crystal layer 30 is held between an array substrate 10 and a counter substrate 20, wherein the liquid crystal display device is a transflective liquid crystal display device having pixels PX each including a transmission part PT and reflection part PR. The array substrate 10 includes: a switch element 12 arranged in each pixel PX; an insulating layer arranged at least on the reflection part PR; a transmission electrode 13T arranged on the transmission part PT in the pixel PX; a pixel electrode 13 electrically connected to the transmission electrode 13T, having a reflecting electrode 13R arranged on the insulating layer in the reflection part PR, and electrically connected to a switch element 12 through a contact hole 40 formed on the insulating layer by the reflecting electrode 13R; and a cover member 41 that covers the reflecting electrode 13R of the contact hole 40 and that is formed of a material having lower reflectance than that of the reflection electrode 13R. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
