PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable flexible tube for an endoscope, without a risk of impairment of the adhesiveness between a blade and a sheath of the flexible tube caused by the elapse of using time of the endoscope or the moisture under the using (including cleaning) environment of the endoscope even after the endoscope is continuously used. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the flexible tube includes: a step of forming the blade having double-layer structure consisting of a metal fiber layer made of metal fiber and formed as an inner layer in contact with the outer surface of a spiral tube, and a resin fiber layer coupled with the metal fiber layer, made of first resin fiber and formed on the outside of the metal fiber layer as an outer layer; a step of attaching an adhesive to the outer surface of the resin fiber covered at least with the sheath; a step of covering the outer surface of the spiral tube with the blade; a step of covering the outer surface of the blade with the sheath; and a step of bonding the blade to the sheath by bonding only the resin fiber layer to the sheath via the adhesive.
