METHOD FOR DETECTION OF LIVER CANCER CELL USING ANTI-GLYPICAN-3 ANTIBODY

Disclosed is an in vitro immunoassay method for detecting the occurrence of a liver cancer cell in a subject. In the method, for the detection of the expression of glypican-3 antigen in a liver cancer tissue, a combination of an antigen activation treatment by a thermally induced antigen activation method and an antigen activation treatment by a protease antigen activation method is employed. Therefore, in the method, it is possible to detect the difference in the level or mode of the expression of glypican-3 antigen by an immunohistochemical staining method. The method enables the differential classification of a sample that has been determined as highly expressing glypican-3 by a conventional HIER method in accordance with the expression level of glypican-3.
