The present invention relates to a solar light collecting device for illumination capable of collecting natural solar light through two stages and collecting solar light at an optical fiber and transmitting the collected light in a highly efficient manner. The solar light collecting device of the present invention is an environmentally friendly novel energy generating technique which significantly reduces the consumption of energy for illumination using electrical energy. The solar light collecting device of the present invention primarily uses the reflection of light and collecting light through a mirror, and secondarily collects light through a convex lens and a ball lens, improving light collecting efficiency of optical fibers and collecting an increased amount of light by one strand of optical fiber. Further, the solar light collecting device of the present invention uses an infrared filter to minimize transmission of unnecessary heat of solar light for illumination and prevent fire and damage of the optical fiber. The solar light collecting device of the present invention is capable of separating infrared rays for the application of infrared rays which would be necessary in the future.
