<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation apparatus capable of substantially reducing power consumption in starting, reducing discharge rate of a secondary battery, miniaturizing dimensions, and excellent in quick starting; and to provide electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The power generation device 300 includes: a reformer 212 producing reformed gas by reforming fuel; a power generation cell 220 generating electric power by electrochemical reaction of the reformed gas produced with the reformer 12; and a hydrogen generating container 270 generating hydrogen.
