<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control an engine revolution stop crank angle within a target crank angle range. <P>SOLUTION: An engine revolution stop control device controls a load torque of the alternator by calculating demand power generation current in response to a demand load torque through the calculation of a revolution behavior (hereinafter referred to as "target track") until engine revolution is stopped at a target stop crank angle, and of the demand load torque of an alternator so as to make actual engine revolution behavior match the target track when stopping the engine rotation, and by calculating a power generation command value so as to make the actual power generation current coincide with the demand power generation current by estimating or detecting the actual power generation current of the alternator. Accordingly, even if the power generation characteristic of the alternator is varied due to environmental change or the like, the load torque of the alternator can be accurately controlled to the demand load torque by accurately controlling the actual power generation current of the alternator to the demand power generation current corresponding to the demand load torque.
