摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the configuration of a device and to simplify control of a solid state image sensor in the distance measuring device for measuring a distance with an object based on a plurality of object images imaged by deviating a focus position. SOLUTION: The distance measuring device includes a compound eye camera part imaging a plurality of facet images by using a plurality of micro lenses 51a-51c and deviating the focus position, and allows an optical distance between an area sensor 6 (the solid state image sensor) and each micro lens 51a-51c to differ. Since the plurality of the object images (multi-focus image group) imaged by deviating the focus position necessary for the distance measuring device of a contrast method or the like are obtained by using one area sensor 6 and the plurality of the same micro lenses as a focal distance, the configuration of the device is simplified and the control of the area sensor is simplified.
