PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion compensation amplifier which can perform the automatic control of a vector regulator being capable of quick response, when a large phase change or amplitude change occurs in an amplifier circuit. SOLUTION: The vector regulator A, B include a vector regulator 220 for offset which roughly controls the vector quantity of a signal by CPU control with regard to the signal input to an amplifying means, and a vector regulator 210 for control which operates in a steady state to fine control the vector quantity of the signal, wherein the CPU control is constituted so that, when the vector quantity of the signal exceeds the control range of the vector regulator for control, the vector regulator for offset is changed into a control mode to perform the coarse control, the vector quantity which has exceeded the control range is made to converge within the control range of the vector regulator for control, after the convergence, the vector quantity is fixed to the control value of the vector regulator for offset, then the mode is returned to the control mode by the vector regulator for control.
