PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication terminal, an information providing method, a program, and a recording medium, for displaying easier-to-understand operation information and function explanatory information. SOLUTION: The mobile communication terminal comprises a storage means of storing information associated with functions or operations, a display means of outputting the information associated with the functions or operations, an operation means of inputting a retrieval word or retrieval label, and a control means of performing control to extract information associated with a function or operation corresponding to the input retrieval word or retrieval label from the storage means and to output it to the display means.
