PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tab terminal can reduce an insertion force at the time of insertion, and of stabilizing electric connection. SOLUTION: A male terminal 10 has the chip part 10a and a contact part 10b. The chip part 10a slide-contacts a female terminal 20 in an insertion port 2a when inserted into the insertion port 2a, and the contact part 10b contacts the female terminal 20 after the insertion into the insertion port 2a has been completed. On a surface of this male terminal 10, dispersed particles to reduce a frictional force are used and a composite plated layer is formed. The dispersed particles in the composite plated layer on the surface of the chip part 10a are more dense than the composite plated layer on the surface of the contact part 10b.
