PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device having the structure capable of incorporating a panel module excellent in mechanical strength regardless of making the device larger in screen size and thinner in thickness. SOLUTION: In the panel module constituting the display unit of the large and low-profile image display device, the panel module has constitution that reinforcing parts are horizontally attached to the flange portions disposed on the upper and lower parts of a panel module body, and supporting members are disposed across the two upper and lower reinforcing parts, then, a stand is attached to the supporting members, and a hanging chain or cord is attached so that an external force may not be directly applied to the panel module body.
