PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a magnetic path area of a magnetic circuit even when valves are opened, to generate sufficient return force in the valves and to improve the responsiveness of the valves. SOLUTION: The vehicle damper of variable damping force 20 includes a tubular cylinder 21, a piston 22 partitioning the cylinder 21 into two chambers 25, 26, the valves 55, 56 for controlling damper oil 27 flowing through the two chambers 25, 26, and an electromagnetic solenoid 73 for driving the valves 55, 56. The valves 55, 56 respectively includes opening/closing portions 95, 105 for opening/closing ports 75, 76 of the piston 22, and support portions 94, 104 for supporting the opening/closing portions 95, 105 in an openable/closable manner. When the electromagnetic solenoid 73 is energized under such a condition that the opening/closing portions 95, 105 are opened, the valves 55, 56, the piston 22 (electromagnetic solenoid 73) and the magnetic circuit are constituted and magnetic flux receiving and delivering members 53, 54 for receiving and delivering magnetic flux to the valves 55, 56 are provided.
