PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article attaching apparatus and a suction cup device which are advantageous in attaching a heavy article to a curved surface-like adsorbing surface. SOLUTION: The article attaching apparatus 10 includes a frame 12 and a plurality of suction cup devices 14, and each suction cup device 14 is constituted by including a suction cup 16, a central shaft 18 and a case 20 having a male thread section 36. Furthermore, a screw hole 1202 of the frame 12 is formed in a dimension in which the male thread section 36 can be tilted within the screw hole 1202. Additionally, when an adsorbing surface 2 is profiled in a curve, the article can be supported by the frame 12 in such a way that the male thread section 36 of the suction cup device 14 can be tilted within the screw hole 1202 of the frame 12, an adsorbing surface 24 of each suction cup device 14 is adsorbed surely with respect to the curved surface-like adsorbing surface 2, the frame 12 is sandwiched by nuts 44 screwed to each male thread section 36, and the suction cup device 14 is surely adsorbed to the curved surface-like adsorbing surface 2.
