PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preferable operability in operation time by clearly demarcating operation buttons of an operation part and display LEDs set on a body, and setting the operation buttons and display LEDs on the body in a simple arrangement easy to see. SOLUTION: An air cleaner has a cleaning filter 4 and a centrifugal air fan 5 set in an air duct 2 in the body 1, a control part 8 controlling the operation of the air fan 5 corresponding to a detected value of an air contamination sensor 7, and a switch operation part 9 set in the control part 8. The switch operation part 9 includes a one-button part 10 exposed on a top face of the body 1 for switching for automatic operation, manual operation and stop of operation, and a manual button part 11 with a plurality of buttons adjacently provided to the one-button part 10 for use in the manual operation. The manual button part 11 is covered with an openable/closable transparent or translucent switch cover 12, allowing easy and sure switching operation for the automatic or manual operation, providing a neatly designed air cleaner.
