PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration of a host I/O response caused by an influence of copy processing and to complete the copy processing as designated by a user. SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 14, which is connected to a host device 11, a first storage area 12-1 and a second storage area 12-2, includes: copy processing parts 17-1, 17-2 which carries out copy processing based on the schedule information made to carry out copy processing in which data in the first storage area 12-1 is copied to the second storage area 12-2 by distributing it into a plurality of times of unit copy processing; a data transfer amount monitoring part 33 which monitors the data transfer amount between the copy processing parts 17-1, 17-2 and the host device 11; and a rescheduling processing part 34 which carries out rescheduling processing according to the data transfer amount monitored by the data transfer amount monitoring part 33 for schedule information.
