DRIVE UNIT OF HYBRID VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a hybrid vehicle capable of restraining a second motor generator from operating at a higher rotating speed.

SOLUTION: The drive unit for hybrid vehicle is equipped with a driving mechanism mounted favorably in a hybrid vehicle having an internal-combustion engine and motor generator as a drive source and performing a reduction of the output rotating speed from the second motor generator and a speed change of the power transmitted to the output shaft. The driving mechanism forms a directly coupling stage in which the rotating speed of the second motor generator is made approximately the same as that of the output shaft. That is, the output shaft of the second motor generator is coupled directly with the output shaft to transmit the power to the driving wheels. This enables the second motor generator to be properly restrained from operating at higher rotating speed when the vehicle is running at a high speed.
