<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking device controlling operation of a ventilation fan by positively sending an infrared signal to the ventilation fan. <P>SOLUTION: The cooking device has: a heating part heating a heating object; a control part controlling the heating part; and infrared transmission parts 61, 62 emitting infrared signals to carry out infrared communication with the ventilation fan provided in an apparatus upper part.
