PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cooking vessel from rising to an abnormal temperature, irrespective of cooking modes concerned.
SOLUTION: An cooking appliance includes a temperature detector 25 which detects temperature of the cooking vessel through a top plate, an overheating inhibitor 27 which prevent the vessel from overheating by using output data of the detector, and a heating controller 24 which computes integral power consumption by the cooking vessel. When the integral power consumption, computation of which by the heating controller starts at the beginning of heating operation, reaches a predetermined quantity, detection of temperature change amounts starts by the temperature detector, and in such a case that the temperature change amounts stay below a prescribed level, overheating of the cooking vessel is prevented by lowering a preset temperature value of the overheating inhibitor.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
|
