<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve print processing ability and to form clear images of high sharpness. <P>SOLUTION: A hydrophobic colorless ink is ejected from an ink-jet head 12T. A water-based black ink is ejected from an ink-jet head 12K. The colorless ink is allowed to reach a minute area in an ejection area 62 in the same position in the conveying direction before the black ink reaches a minute area in an image area 61.
